    Bit of a catch up

Phil Healy with a great showing making the final finishing 7th in 23.81 into a -1.4 headwind

Marcus Lawler failed to advance beyond Rd 2 with a 6th place in 10.70.

After a solid start advancing from 1st round Paul Byrne failed to make the final with a 7th place in the Semi

Matthew Bergin advance to final latter today with a 3rd place showing in 5000.

Kevin Kelly with a 3.53.77 for 9th in the 1500m heats

Michelle Finn well off her best with a 10.40 finish for 14th in the steeple

    Both

Cian McManamon with credible 13th place in the walk.

Sarah Lavin narrowly missing out on a final spot in the 100m hurdles with a 4th place finish 0.01 shy of a fastest loser spot

    Niamh Whelan with a solid 11.81 for 7th in the 100m Semi's

Both women in action tonight in the 5000m while Emma Mitchell is off the back of a 9th place finish in the 10,000m earlier in the week

The men's javelin was absolutely sensational stuff. What drama with 2 guys going over 91m in the final round, and a home victory to boot. By far the event of the championships.

Emma Mitchell finished 7th and Shona Heaslip 11th in the 5000.

Shona set a new PB in 16:09. Great to set it on such an occasion!

Matt Bergin was 10th as well. Good to see solid performances in an event we really have fallen off a cliff on in recent years.
