    Hi guys,

My face cream is running low so think I'll give Image a try.

You can't buy it online from what I can see so just wondered what is best place in Dublin city centre? Ideally it would be great for someone to examine my skin type and recommend which products to use.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry for bumping the thread but could anyone help me out on this?

Hey I don't think you can buy image skincare online you have to go through a beauticians and get a facial. I'm not Dublin based so I'm not sure of any places in Dublin. Maybe the image website could send you to a stockists?

You could buy online but I wouldn't recommend it! A lot of money to spend on what might be the wrong thing!

If you look at renaissance website it has a list of all image stockists! I'm not from Dublin either so can't help you!

You would be better going for consult if at all possible! Some salons do skin scanning events with the renaissance place and have a deal on the day when buying products! That's what I did when I started out using image!

    Is it worth the cost?
It's been recommended to me, but is a lot more expensive than my usual skincare products.

I just bought a couple Image products online from here: http://skinshop.ie/brand/image-skincare/

When you go to purchase the item you need to register your email address and you'll be sent a password but then all proceeds as per normal from there.

Placed order last Mon and had it received before end of week. Prices were pretty good too in comparison to other websites and beauty salons.

Can't really comment on effects as of yet as have only used them last two days - all I can say so far is they smell nice! :D

I think the vital c cleanser and spf are brilliant. Don't think the vital c mask is great won't be repurchasing that but the other 2 I really love.. if that helps any!

I've found it good. It does last a while to. I have my moisturiser (ormedic. Nightime) since December using it every night bar the week or2 after getting a peel and still have just under half the jar left! Cleanser lasted me maybe 8 months using every evening except for peel time.

Maybe but a trial kit first to see what you think? Lasts 2 weeks if you don't over use it!

oh my goodness thanks for the tip on how to get to checkout! I had been looking on this site but gave up when I saw the 'enter your password' prompt :pac:

I'm going to do some more research before I buy but currently leaning towards vital C range over iluma brightening at the mo? I've got red prone, dry skin. So looks like vital c is best but I love the idea of the brightening?

Going to try the iluma serum definately, have it waiting in the basket :D

Tempted by the eye creme in that range too?

You really really should get a free consultation done first, the therapist will tell you what products would be best suited to your skin and will give you samples to try before you commit to buying.

I think you're mad spending that money on products that may or may not suit you. I've had to come off most of my image products recently because my skin changed and image no longer suited me. If you're going to drop a couple of hundred on your skin, avail of the skin consultation

I'd echo what others have said re consultation. I used to love love love their iluma serum, then they changed the formula and the "new and improved" serum is awful. It pills as well so bad. And is really sickly sweet smelling. Maybe I'm just bitter about the change of formula but I didn't like it at all.

Thanks ladies. Yeah I didn't buy anything but happy to know once I know what to get, I can buy online and there's 15% off at the mo. What always put me off was the cost!! I also wanted to use up the creams I had first.

Want to do more research but I'm just guessing vital c will work best for me given my skin type. Think I'll either go to Clontarf or the one in D2 over the weekend to have a chat and see where to go from there. WIth everything, there's only so much to be gained from listening to what works for other people, everyone's skin is so, so different. Thanks again everyone for your help and tips.

This is interesting. I'm relatively new to Image and one of the products the salon suggested for me was the Iluma serum. I'd read so many great reviews about it and was pretty excited to try but I hate it! The smell is awful, I can't place what it reminds me of but it ain't good :D Agree with the piling too. Despite that I'd probably try to persist but unfortunately it also breaks me out on top of all that so it's a no-go for me.

Are there any other products that they've changed the formulation on? I got the tinted SPF, again based on reviews, but it's completely orange on me, had to buy the normal version instead. I attempted to use up the tinted one by mixing just a small amount of it in but no matter what it just looks dirty on me :( Happy with the samples of the Vit C mask and Ormedic peptide cream that I got though!

I'm glad someone else felt the same re the serum! I thought it was in my head!! It's almost a biscuity sugar smell from what I rememeber, it was awful! The one before that was kind of vanilla smelling. And it blended into skin like a dream. I haven't tried anything else since, I used to love the retinol renewal cream, can't rememeber the name of it, think it may have said resurface in the name. It changed my skin. Like no exaggeration, it was like removing the top layer of awfulness and giving me this lovely fresher base to work with. Think (could be wrong) LexieOnRale may have used it at one stage so she may know the name. It's in a tub? With a silver lid. Well it used to be!

Also, neostrata do a lightening/illuminating balm type thing that has a better effect than the iluma serum if you wanted to try it.i am the worst with names but it's in a white and yellow tube. It's in the range for illuminate/pigment control. It's not the serum which smells like licorice, it's almost the texture of bb cream and it sits so lovely under makeup. I'd try that if you're looking for an alternative to iluma.

Thanks, unfortunately I went today though to another salon.

They recommend I go for the vital c range so going to give it a go.

Think I'll leave the serum then, thanks for that feedback guys.
