Lightroom not recognising my RAW files

Would be very grateful if anyone could assist. My version of lightroom is not recognising RAW images imported from my new Canon M10. This has never been an issue previously when importing from my Canon 1100d. I am shooting simultaneously in both RAW & JPEG. Many thanks.

what version of lightroom are you using?
there's a claim here that you need 6.3 minimum for that camera:

Old lightroom and new camera - won't work. You will need to upgrade to a later version, or else do a middle step of converting to DNG before Lightroom can recognise the files.
