Put them in for the most recent shed here in 2014. No issues

IMO virtually all slats are good quality nowadays. Nearly all slats are made to grant spec. Back in the 70's and 80's yes some dodgy slats around but since the noughties I be ofthe opinion that all new slats will last 40 years +

You are right most slats now are good quality but they vary in how clean your cattle will be during the winter.
I actually cancelled an order from a certain supplier this year as was told the cattle would be filthy from them

Slats have little to do with how clean cattle are. Diet is the main factor with how dirty or clean cattle are. As well cattle's tails should be trimmed at housing and maybe backs as well.

I couldn't agree more with clipping their backs and tails. I done it last winter and they were far cleaner and I could be wrong but I think it's a great prevention for pneumonia.

Fogarty's are selling Campion Slats, if you want to a price off them

Also there's a bit more leeway with payment, .

Your wrong there as they may all look the same from the top but they are different underneath in the way the ridges are manufactured.
But your entitled to your opinion

Do all manufacturers use the dry-cast method to make cattle slats?

I think the riges underneath would have little impact on cattle being clean or dirty. Not an expert but I imagine that flatness or a slight ridge on top, gap opening and depth to ridges could and would impact on cleaness of cattle just like rubber mats. Other thing that has an impact is whether it is an open or closed shed. Cattle that sweat will get dirty.

Mine don't sweat, I give them a good shot of Lynx before they go in!
