Driveway advice

Hi all,

The driveway at my house is long, narrow, windy and steep. Very steep. My car struggles to get up the hill in first gear.

We want to sort it out - resurface and widen it at least. It may need some changes - maybe an extra bend to take out some of the gradient.

Has anyone had experience with resurfacing steep driveways? We're worried that any rain will carry away any stone/chippings that are put on it.

Can anyone recommend a contractor/driveway specialist in Meath/Cavan/Westmeath?

Any advice would be appreciated!

My folks did a chip and tar driveway a few years back down the west holding up great, it was a very steep one won't try and guess the degree of it but just to say it was too steep for some visitors to try, even the odd taxi driver
would refuse!

Tarmac would have lacked grip in icey conditions
