That Irish golfer magazine is very good. Is it always free? Good course management piece by Donal Scott in the one is received today anyway

Just following up here on these "giveaways". Can't see any results?

    irishgolfer.ie

'Closing date for entries is 5pm on Monday the 30th of October 2017.'

The other one they said the draw was 30th Sept and the results would be posted on that page, so I guess they'll surely be up soon

    Nah, no email at all.

Surely they'd post the list. They made us all sign up for their damn stuff so it's only right to prove it wasn't a dirty tactic to get you to sign up.

I emailed them (mygolfopens) about it and this was their response

    Hi Miley Byrne,

The page is in the process of being updated. All winners will be notified on Monday.

Be careful when entering these comps that insist on your phone number, you will be bombarded with calls from marketing companys, have entered these co.ps and have had to blick 4 numbers already mostly uk numbers.

When I sign up for stuff like that I always accidentally "fat finger" my phone number by one digit for that very reason. Probably no help if they contact the winners by phone though :pac:

Surely by way of average we should have at least a couple of winners from here or at the very least someone who knows a winner.

Its a pity they dont give an address as well or at least a club if they are a member. im always sceptical about these competitions.

& how do they have the 2 or 3 names for the 3 ball or four-ball vouchers, I only entered one name when i filled in this form.
    ??

Looks genuine all right, know a few from my own club but coincidentally or not, most of them are current or past committee members.

Someone mustn't have told the women to enter either. Well under 10% of winners.

The way they did it is shady. From the email:

"We are delighted to announce the winners..... If you are lucky enough to be a prize winner, please contact our office on...."

Would they not be contacting the winners? I don't like it anyway . . .

I won a 4ball in Tulfarris in irishgolfer.ie one. I enjoy the course so I'm happy with that. Had completely forgotten I entered it until I got the email from them saying I'd won.
