    Was on Eir.

They charged me €200 for going over unlimited limit.
    Otherwise fault free for years.
Now with Sky but it keeps going down for 12hours at a time once or twice a week.

So who else can I try that DOES NOT have limits.?

Pure Telecom are not unlimited. They are the same as Eir in that their 'unlimited' broadband has a fair usage policy limit.

How much over the fair usage did you go? And have you looked at their business lines; do they have the "fair usage" crap?

Just for reference, Eir's fair usage policy has a maximum data allowance of 1TB per month.
eFibre Unlimited Broadband plans come with a Fair Usage Policy. For all customers on these plans, the Fair Usage Policy is 1TB of data. This translates to 1,024GB of data. To give you an idea, this would work out at 655,360 web pages (with 1.6MB average file size).

While this is a huge amount of data, in extreme rare cases, we have had customers exceed this limit. For those that do a charge of €2.50(inc. VAT) for every 10 GB up to a maximum of €100(Inc.VAT) per month will apply.

OP, they state that they can only charge you up to €100.00 per month for overuse. I would contact them regarding the €200.00 they charged you.

Regarding Pure Telecom. They do indeed have a fair usage policy, which is only available on request:
3.4 You shall observe the provisions of Pures Fair Usage Policy as amended from time to time (and is available upon request).

Don't they bascially just sell rebranded Eir packages?

Three are the only Eir white label provider.

Went over it twice as the second month I was keeping it under as per their graph but I still was over as their ****ing graph resets as the start of the month but your usage count reset at the start of the billing cycle so its impossible to work work out where you are, all the while looking at big font "Unlimited".

    Pure scam.

    Have you called Sky?

    Every week. Nothing wrong anywhere.
    To quote sky
"There is nothing wrong with your phone line, it just as if the plug was being pulled at the exchange."

I know the Eir engineer they send out personally and hes fed up as he can't see anything wrong either.

Only conclusion I can come to is Eir is running a 'back to home' policy as people are leaving them in droves.

    Pure scam.

Pure Telecom's doubling down on what unlimited means is even worse than Eir's. This is from their FAQ page:

    What does UNLIMITED really mean?
UNLIMITED means no upload or download usage limits when accessing the internet. All of Pure Telecom’s broadband services allow you to stream Netflix 24/7, spend hour’s online gaming and updating your social media accounts either from your phone, tablet or laptop – all day every day with no extra charge to your bill.

I'm sure it does but I wonder what they do when you do 1.5TB a month.
Why don't these companies be forced to say.:

"We have a limit but we think you'll never reach it, but if you do...."

Magnet Business is unlimited, it's precisely why I avoided Eir and went to Magnet.

    Not sure about Residential though.

I think Eir's business packages are truly unlimited but I don't seem to see FTTH for business listed in their business section, Eir fibre for business only lists FTTC up to 100meg broadband.

Probably want to avoid SMEs downgrading from BIP circuits at €500+/mo to GPON :p
