    Hi guys

Having a problem with a package that was sent from us to ireland, it shipped via usps and the tracking tells me it departed dublin on 8th of August and is in Transit, nothing since then.

It came quicker from the states to Dublin than it has from dublin airport to my address, im at a loss as to who in Ireland I contact about it, Do i call An Post or do I call Customs to see where the hell it has gone since it got to Dublin?

Any advice would be much appreciated

    Thanks

Stick the tracking number in track.anpost.ie. Sometimes the An Post site has more information than shows up on USPS.

Could well be stuck in customs. I'd give An Post a ring and see.

Whats the exact status/location of the last update?

Hi thanks a lot for reply, see below

Your item departed a transfer airport in DUBLIN, IRELAND on August 8, 2017 at 10:07 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
    Tracking History
    August 8, 2017, 10:07 am
    Departed
    DUBLIN, IRELAND
    August 7, 2017, 9:50 pm
    Departed
    NEW YORK, UNITED STATES

I tried an post tracking but number not working there, any suggestions?

    Thanks again

Try a site called https://track.aftership.com and see if that comes up with anything more.

Do you know what USPS service it was sent by? Normally it would be delivered by An Post in Ireland.

Whats the format of the tracking number? Is it something like LJ 0000 0000 0US?

It's probably stuck in customs. Give an Post a ring, I've had the same issue before.

Hi yes, the format you have here matches my tracking code, i checked aftership and it says the same as usps site.

I called An Post today to no avail and they checked it but said it actually hasnt arrived in ireland yet I was reading the above that it had actually departed dublin but apparently not.

Any advice from here guys or is it standard to take that long using basic shipping.

    Thanks a lot

Did you get your parcel delivered

I have the exact same issue today USPS tracking updated
Your item departed a transfer airport in DUBLIN, IRELAND on September 24, 2017 at 10:52 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

September 24, 2017, 10:52 am Departed DUBLIN, IRELAND
September 23, 2017, 10:21 pm Departed NEW YORK, UNITED STATES

The tracking updating to departed a transfer airport in Dublin Ireland is strange
as it only left New York yesterday

I would have expected tracking arrived in Dublin not leave Dublin

USPS are saying it left Dublin Airport as its been unloaded from their(partners) plane. If AP tracking doesnt have it then that usually means it hasnt been scanned by them yet (so its in a ULD box in the Airport or DMC).
