Best product for painting long timber fence

I have a good size fence that encloses a 0.7 acre site. 2 years ago it took almost 60 litres of Ronseal one coat Fencelife to get it all done. I got the 33% extra free 12 litre buckets, probably cost a little over €70 but don't see any great deals this year.

I could get away with painting it this year but I would say it will definitely need to be done again next year, so that's about 3 years durability.

What paint products would people recommend in terms of durability or value for this? I would rate durability higher for me than price as it's a big job to paint it all.

I would get 5 no. 10 litre buckets of exterior emulsion , in your colour, Add in recommended amount of Eb bonding, available in Johnstone's, and put it on with a 6 inch emulsion roller and 3 inch brush.

You would be looking at 12.5 litres of EB there @ 65 euro per 2.5 litre. that on top of paint cost would make it a hell of an expensive paint job.

Personally I just buy the bonding from the local hardware, and throw 1 litre into 10 litres of weathershield.

Personally I'd use creosote. It's nasty stuff but lasts years.

I think you can get modern alternatives for it these days, that's not so nasty.
