I was looking for RW3 and called http://www.sigtechinsulation.ie/ guys. got quote of approx €50 vat incl. That's a bit steep isn't it? Given just over the border they sell it at half that:

Are there any other stores selling it in Dublin for more competitive euros?

Thats a great price considering how low the sterling is at the moment. But not so great will be your shipping charge from mainland UK.

I have built two studios in the past few years. One for myself and one for another. As you can imagine it was no small feat, but I used this company with great results

You might want to recheck what they are quoting 100mm, 140mm and what size of the slab. There are plenty of variations out there.

    Hope it helps.

    Best

Thanks peter05. What cloth did you use to cover up the slabs? I would like something reasonably textured or some beige fill to match the walls as I'm going to get few for my room. Not a studio though so can't look too rough or unusual.

I used a local fabricator here in the midlands. Have a look at furniture lads or carpet suppliers. They can usually sort large quantities of fabric. You can use whatever fabric you feel like as long as it is breathable (no sealant on the reverse side).

Just don't breath into the fabric when people are around. You will look like a lunatic. Not that I ever done it:o:o

Thanks, will shop around. Sounds like a fun project overall.

Yeah... breathing part is a bit weird looking. But hey it's either that or shed a ton of money for acoustically sound (see what I did there) material that is purposely made for the cause.
