Hi just wondering how having children affects credit card application?

Do they have a set amount/% per child they take of disposable income?

Not really, once you don't have a bad credit rating already you should have no problem getting one with a low limit of say €500 with no problems once you have a job. If you want a larger limit they may check your salary going in to your bank account and verify it's enough so sustain the limit your requesting.

On a side note, debit cards nowadays can pretty much do everything a credit card can do except perhaps rent a car (I know some accept it but most don't).
