    Hey folks
Im building a planter box in the coming days.
Im wondering though (as my fingers are far from green) what can I plant at this time of year. My plan is to plant things to eat! So herbs, veg etc.
It might be a bit late in the year, but any ideas to get me started would be great.
It would be great be able to grow something and get my 2 kids involved in the planting, watering and (hopefully) eating!!

    Late-ish but...
    Salad leaves many different types
    Radish many different types
    Chives
Spring onion (they may be tiny but...)

    Caggage
    Kale
    Sprouts

    Or herbs
    Parsley
    Sage(s) many types
    Rosemary
    Thyme(s) loads of different types

Early next year do sunflowers - a must for kids (planter size dependent!)
    HTH

    Thanks for this
To be honest the planter will be a staggered height
Lowest 1 foot, middle 1.5 foot, tallest 2 feet.
I was thinking herbs in the lower sections and anything needing "longer" roots in the taller ones
Ive attached an image of what im gouig to build
