    Hi All,

A friend of mine who is a very fit 40 year old and has a bit of martial arts experience is wondering what the maximum age limit is for competing in amateur kick boxing and BJJ events?
He is starting an MMA gym soon and was wondering can he still compete in kickboxing/BJJ bouts at an amateur level?

    thanks

Don't see why not. We have a 52 year old woman in our gym who competes in amateur mma. We have a few late 40 to 50 years olds competing in regular bjj competitions

BJJ Master Worlds is on next weekend. They have brackets up to masters 7. Which means people 60 years and older
