What chippers in Limerick do you think have the nicest chips, personally Luigi's, Donkey Ford's and Golden Grill are my favourites, what's yours.

Not mad about Donkeys, they don't do onion rings :-/

Rios, Enzos or PJs Plaice for me.

Fuscos in Garryowen does good food, Parnell Grill across from the train station (not sure of actual name but have always known it as the Parnell Grill), Rene Cusack in the milk market did lovely chips but think they are closed now. Donkey Ford's is very hit and miss now days.

Enzo's or Luigi's for me. Don't like Donkey's at all.

Rio's in Caherdavin is nice, not a fan of their other shops.

Donkey's or Enzo's would be my preferred.

Luigi's for me. Always consistently good fish & chips and the service is good too.

Enzo's is a close second imo.

Donkey's still has a certain romance to it. Like the Chicken Hut or Ivan's shop or Nancy Blake's, it's become something bigger to Limerick people than a simple shop.

Rio's by the train station would be my regular though, with the occasional visit to Fusco's if we're up that end of town.

Enzo's & Tony's out in Raheen. Both consistently good. Luigi's dont really fill the bag like the aforementioned, have always been left a small portion from there. Must get to Fuscos at some point.

Enzo's is another one i enjoy, i usually sit down to eat a quarter pounder or chicken breast with chips and beans, and finish off with a lovely dessert of warm apple pie with ice cream.

I'll second Tony's. Chips are always good and portion size is always generous.

Have been a long time fan of Donkeys but the quality of the chips has gone seriously downhill in the last year in particular. Soggy oul sh!t.

From the ones I've tried Fuscos, Luigis and Enzo's are a cut above with an honourable mention going to Freda's. Have heard good things about Tony's so will have to a detour on the way home some evening.

The place in Adare is worth a visit too if out that way!

And Mamma Mia in Newcastlewest too...

Chasing the perfect bag of chips!

    What's the chipper in adare?

The new place in the market, Frans does lovely chips. Luis on the Fr Russell Rd has lovely chips too.

I can't think of the proper name, it's Norito's or something similar. Turn right at the roundabout towards the AIB ATM and it's approx 100m down on the left. That's coming from the Limerick side.

McAris in Castletroy. The right balance between full chips and smaller crispy ones. :)

+McAris as they do a good Kebab as well.

Donkey Fords chips were awful soggy recently. I actually like Supermacs Chips though but if this thread is really just about Chipper Chips then my vote goes to McAris.

Where does the best snack box would you guys say? I've tried McAris recently and wasn't overly impressed with their chicken but the chips are nice. I'd have snack boxes from Tony's in Raheen ahead of it any day.

Golden Grill athough I dont go into town anymore, and Tony's.

Is there anywhere that does kebabs that actually gives you hot chilli sauce as opposed to that sweet safe stuff.
