I just have it flung up in a tree about 1.5 meters high and the performance is excellent.

U.K MW and LW stations that don't register on the internal MW antenna appear at 20-30 DB !

160, 80 and 40 Meter ham bands are received a lot quieter. Very happy and impressed. I must try compare it to my friends home brew dipoles and long wires for his Amateur radio setup.

With the Loop the signals are not as strong but I can easily pull out weak signals that are completely buried in the noise with the wire.

Now when I say wire , it's just a random length up a tree directly to the telescopic antenna and as basic as you will find.

On a lot of SDR setups I've listened to the loop antennas are quieter then the Dipole or wire.

MW reception is just amazing and gone completely is the buzzing from switch mode power supplies in the house !!!

An expensive antenna but I'm already very happy , especially considering it's a very rough installation for the time being.

My Plan is to set it up with the SDRPlay connected to the Raspberry PI 3 using OpenWebRX and sending it out on the internet which will be picked up here.

The Loop is also very large at 10 meters but because it's wire and not a solid loop it's extremely portable and can be powered by external USB battery or on the mains.

You can also get a solid loop and have a wire for portability.

Hey, thanks , any time. :D

I love the station when I can listen on the way to work and back.

Do you plan a signal boost ? I'd love to be able to receive down this way.

we hope to try a new double T antenna in the near future, with some new aerial poles to support the new antenna, getting the hardware over the next few weeks.if all goes well you should see a noticeable increase in signal, same power though just over 300 watts,

    Weh Eh!

Is that a 9100A that you are using.

I'd say the storms were fun!
