I have an old silver pocket watch (one of a few I gathered up over the years),I do not have any particular interest in watches but today I opened the back to find the the case is hallmarked for Chester, made by Charles Harris in 1893.

Out of curiosity I removed the dust cover to find the watch is stamped on the movement Cromer Limerick.A little research informed me that Cromer came to Limerick around 1850,married someone in the business and was listed here as a watchmaker.I presume the movement was made for Cromers and cromer limerick was engraved at the time of manufacture.

Does anyone have any info on Cromer watches?
