Whitechurch, Co.Wexford, Steam and Vintage Working Rally. 13/08/17.

    So I gave Tullamore show a miss this year and went instead to the Whitechurch steam and vintage rally today. It was announced that it's the last ever show there, hopefully that won't be the case. It's a real community effort with funds going to Ballykelly Church, the street children of Bucharest charity and Fr Michael Kane's projects in Kenya.
    Here's a few pictures from today's event.

    there cant have been many at it, i reckon with the amount of wexford jerseys in moynalty most of wexford was there.

    What was moynalty like? It always seems to be on the same day as Tullamore

    Some lovely Pierce equipment there in the photos . I read somewhere lately they employed 1,000 people in 1914.

    It would be a pity to see this exhibition coming to an end .

    I heard someone say, only for that large workforce employed in Pierce's then and the trouble after that there would be no Labour party in Ireland now.
