Walco quad spreader

I have one since April 16. Spread about 65 ton with it and just had to change the wheel bearings on it, no big deal but shorter life span than I envisaged.
As for spreader its solid, easy to get an even cover, would nearly drive across dirty water - couldnt be without it at this stage tbh. Only 4 or 5 grease nipples to give a shot to after using it and a quick belt of the power washer has kept mine rust free thus far.

Edit - The old lad now goes for this on the back of the quad rather than using the tractor to spread as he finds it so much faster.

Do you use half ton bags and does it take it easily? What size quad and any problems power wise?

Always half ton bags and no prob at all, would prob take 600 kg if you were to fill it to the scut.
Ive a 550 Yahama and wouldnt know its behind you at all, thats in high & heavy ground. Know a lad with a 350 Honda and no problems either but his place would be a lot more level.

I've a honda 500, no problem to it to pull 350 kg in the snacker anyway. Thanks for all the reviews,

Hi all, bringing this one back to life, I have a walco spreader that’s getting shook and so I’m trading it in for a new one.....called to dealer today and the new ones are powder coated not galvanized like my old one

Also mine is a 675 and the biggest the dealer has is a 500......will the 500 definitely take the half tonne bag as mine does with lots to spare but just nervous about going for the smaller spreader

    Thanks
