Missed Signing on Day

Completely forgot about my signing on day. Went down the day after to explain and sign on, the chap told me to come back next Tuesday to sign on which was grand. I get paid into the bank, but didn't receive payment which I'm guessing is due to my failure to sign on.

I'm now worried I won't get back dated, anyone have any info on such a situation. Will I be back dated when I sign on next week?

Its the first time I've failed to sign on, does this make any difference...

You'll very likely be backdated. I'd almost guarantee it. If its the first time, that'll almost ensure it. These things happen, everyone forgets to sign the odd time.

It'll only become a problem if a pattern develops.
