I do think they look quite similar! Both gorgeous but it's your big day so everyone will want up to shine.

Why is it so hard to find a dress for your Bridesmaid?

I think they're too similar and wouldn't be happy for my bridesmaid to wear it, especially when you are only having the one bridesmaid. It would be different if you were having a few so people will be able to differentiate between the group of bridesmaid and the bride, but as she is your only bridesmaid, I'd have to insist on picking a different dress.

The wedding dress is lovely but I don't like the other one at all.
With your wedding dress you need something a bit plainer with no lace, maybe even short and a very different colour too.

Thanks, its cos she lives in Canada and will only be home a few days before the wedding, so its hard trying to pick ones online without seen them, already sent two Asos dresses back. I picked this one as i thought it was gorgeous and fitted in with the theme i was going for and thought it might compliment my dress but yeah maybe it will be to like a brides dress and will not compliment it as much as I thought. emmm decisions! looks like will have to return this one. Thanks

If you've only got one bridesmaid can't she go shopping in Canada then send you photos of a couple of dresses that suit her? She can then buy it and bring it with her. I agree the two dresses are very similar- maybe you need a brighter colour bridesmaid dress to contrast your ivory dress?

Either go a brighter/darker colour or no bling/different texture.

She can definitely find something in Canada, especially if she goes to one of the all purpose bridesmaid shops. My friends did this and just sent tonnes a picks over 3 hours to the bride in Ireland, and they picked a dress by the time the appointment was over!

I think the dresses are too similar. Like another poster has said I think a shorter plainer dress would be nicer. There are loads of nice midi dresses on ASOS. It could still be a gorgeous dress but just something that would complement and not take away from your dress!

I think just because the style of dress you've chosen as your wedding dress is quite unique, it wouldn't stand out enough against that bridesmaids dress. If paired with something different it will allow show yours off much better. Fabulous wedding dress by the way!

Thanks for the honest replies, i have decided against the dress cos i agree it would take away from mine. I have decided to go with folkster-mauve reva gown.

Your dress is beautiful, just checked the mauve dress and think it will really complement yours, a great choice,

Folkster is great, and such fantastic value!
I got my BM dresses there too.
