    Hi
First time going for freesat soarview and have being looking at hybrid dual tuner android boxes, seen a lot of good reviews for the MECOOL KIII Pro - Hybrid Android TV Box with Dual DVB Satellite/TV Tuner
seems like the best spec, price and reviewed box i can find but maybe im missing something. any advise or views greatly appreciated cos i need to pick a box before my sky finishes and i switch over.
    Cheers

If you want to record a satellite channel while watching another, you need 2 separate satellite (DVB-S2) tuners and feeds from a dish. That unit only has 1.

Thanks gerry i hadnt considered that. think i could live without recording on 1 channel while watching another for a faster box.

MECOOL KIII Pro when compared to the Ariva 4K Combo speed wise

MECOOL KIII pro Octa core 3GB DDR3 RAM 16GB ROM

Ariva 4K Combo Quad core 1GB DDR3 RAM 8GB ROM

Theres still a lot i dont understand spec wise when looking at these boxes so if anyone see's anything else pro or con about the Mecool please us let know.

Hi cahal74, did you invest?. I am also looking for the all in one solution ran off the one remote. The MECOOL KIII PRO seems to tick all the boxes but I would be interested to know how it is performing

Is there any issue with tuning Saorview with this box.

This guy on YouTube gives it a glowing review.

    hi
Theres 3 youtube vids i can see including the one youve posted and there all equally blowen away about how great the box is. id be very suspicious and would ignore any review thats all pros and no cons.
I have found this very detailed review. this guy thinks theres DVB issues and shortcomings.

    serach cnx-software mecool-kiii-pro-hybrid-stb-review-part-2

Im now thinking the best thing to do is get a good quality dedicated combo box for around €100 ( can anyone here recommend one)

This then gives ya a lot of good options on well know and proberly reviewed android boxes with far better UI and more than 1gb ram. 3gb would be nice.

Did you get this in the end?
I'm looking for a box that will run Kodi with aerial and satellite and this ticks all the boxes for me.

I decided to go with a branded box (ariva 253) which is not an android box just a combo. I already had a android box so didn't matter to much to me to have a all in one box.
