Aer Lingus Regional and Aer Lingus

    Can Aer Lingus Regional pilots fly on normal Aer Lingus routes? Or are they entirely separate?

    Can you be flying an ATR72 to Glasgow one day and then an a320 to Paris the next (assuming you're qualified on both planes).

    Also, how many routes can an airline pilot fly in a day's duty? Can you, for instance, fly to and from Gatwick in the morning and afternoon, then do an evening flight to Berlin?

    They are employed by separate companies so ATR crew cannot work Airbus aircraft and vice versa.

    No, they are entirely separate companies. Aer Lingus Regional is the brand new used for flights operated by Stobart Air which is a different company with its own aircraft and staff.

    As above, both entities are separate airlines so do not 'switch pilots' with each other.

    Even if they were any commercial pilot will hold a licence for a single type. So even if they used to fly an ATR for their airline if they are A320 licensed then that is all they fly.

    Flights per day are determined by length of the duty. There are legal limits in place covering these limits. So from Dublin going to Gatwick and Berlin in a single 'shift' is possible. So there's 4 flights in 1 day. You could in theory do 3 round trips to Birmingham instead.
