I am wondering what would be a top phone to buy for less than 200? Have had the 4s for years now and its time to move up in the world.
Would be just looking for enough storage (iphone was 8gb and was a killer)
    Smooth enough performance
Be able to run all the social media apps fine simultaneously

Be aware you'll be going from Flagship to Budget so the upgrade wont be as stunning as 6yrs might normally lead you to believe.

Last years Moto G or similar would be what you'd be looking at.

Increase your budget to €250-300 and you'll have some decent options.

I'd look at this year's Moto G5. Picked one up a few months ago for €170.

    Motorola are owned by Lenovo.

They can be reliable but warranty is a bit iffy as far as I know. I've used them a few times without a bother but I've heard stories of people having awful trouble with them. I believe some warranties aren't covered by manufacturers in Europe as they're usually Asian phones but I could be wrong about that. I'd only ever go for eglobal if you're saving upwards of 100 euro.

Yep, basically assume there is no warranty with them.

Another thing with Eglobal is that they state that 99% of the products listed are in stock but thats not always the case.

Get the amazon version with 3 gig of RAM.

Might be worth waiting a week or three, the Amazon pre-orders for the Moto G5S and Moto G5S+ are open and due to ship end of August sometime.

As a result, there might be price reductions.

Worth to note about the UK Moto G5, no compass or NFC.. Buying the G5 Plus further abroad, like India/Germany, might get you NFC, but it is iffy trying to find the exact model you'll receive.

Just looking at the G4 plus which is 15 pound cheaper than the g5? I understand it only has 2gb RAM compared to 3gb on g5, but it does have a more powerful processor. Which should I go for?

Are you looking to change to android or are you happy with Apple?

If your preference is Apple then why not consider the Apple SE 32GB... Currently about €370 from Argos.

Ok so it's more than your budget, but you may be more comfortable and happier with that in the long run. It'll run as smooth as butter, which you may not experience on the same level with a budget android.

BTW I can second a Moto G4 Plus. However there's no compass and therefore map nav when walking to a destination can be a challenge as the phone won't know what direction you're facing.
