Tarmac Drive Stains

    Guys,

    Had a delivery driver yesterday with a leak on the tarmac.

    I had read some time ago that pouring coke on it somehow cleaned it up - no success....

    Any recommendations

    I've read before WD40 sprayed onto the area works. Never tried it myself but might be worth a try

    I also heard this before too - but i thought the coke would be safer (not being oily like wd40)

    Hi Guys,

    OK - here is an update.

    Firstly i poured 2 litres of full fat coke on to the stain.

    This was too much & ran away towards the drain & i ended up with a much larger stain than when i started.

    When this had dried in i then mixed two buchets of boiling water with plenty of Flash concentrate detergent & poured this all over it & scrubbed this into it with a yard sweeping brush & left for 30minutes.

    Then plenty of cold water & much more brushing with yard brush.

    Next morning when it had dried - stain gone.

    Hope this might help somebody
