Strengthening a garden wall

Bought a fixer upper 9 months ago and getting through the jobs bit by bit. Cut back the jungle of a back garden and found the wall between my house and neighbour is a bit wobbly. Wall is on my side of the property division so it's my problem to fix.

Don't have budget to rebuild it, so hoping I can support it for a couple of years and then get it sorted properly.

It's about 15m long, a little over 2m high. Neighbour tells me the footings are very shallow. It is tied into the house but I am unsure of the far end as it is obscured by trees and a shed. There are piers every 5m.

Mortar isn't too bad so I don't think there's much to do in that regard - the whole wall moves as one piece, although there are a couple of cracks.

I was thinking some steel box section driven deep into the ground/embedded in concrete bolted to the wall every 3-4m would probably do the job. Would obviously need to get galvanised steel or coat it in some way to prevent rust.

    Anyone have any advice?

    Thanks for that.

I should also say that the neighbour is not interested in fixing it and I'd prefer ot not go down the route of disputing it as a new neighbour. He's been pretty sound given the amount of noise and disruption I've caused I want to maintain that relationship. If I can make it safe for a few years with something I can hide behind some creepers up the wall then happy days. Also he is in a council house, whereas I own mine - I'm not sure what the implications are in that scenario?

Would there be any point in trying to underpin the crappy foundations if I'm digging down that deep anyway?
