Nissan X Trail rear brake dust shields.

I need to remove and replace the rear brake dust shields on out 2005 4x4 X Trail.
Thought it would be a simple enough job, but it transpires that the entire brake calliper, disk, hand brake shoes have to be removed.
Then it turns out the shield will not come off over the rear drive flange.

Do I have to press out the drive flange out of the rear hub next, and can this be done without removing the entire rear hub and putting it in a press?

Will I need to fit new bearings then?
