    Passed a garda on the M7 today around junction 16 ... reckon I could be doing somewhere between 130-140 km .. obviously it's s 120 zone .... assuming I'm caught is it a eighty Euro Fine or do they bring you to court ...
    Bit of a joke really seeing as its motorway and a perfectly straight road ... driving to Dublin for work, no previous points .. be easier give up the job and draw the dole with the gardai shooting fish in a barrel ??

    If only there was some kind of easy way to not get points for speeding.

    If it's any consolation I think only the vans give automatic points/ fines, a garda has to pursue you and pull you in.

    as often said on here, speedos can be up to 10% out meaning in reality you were only slightl;y over the limit and the Gard may have bigger fish to fry (in a barrell obviously). Don't worry about it until the ticket comes.
