It's brilliant. Starts out as a standard sports investigative documentary but towards the end I thought I was watching a thriller.

The Russian doc is bonkers. Reminded me of the mad Russian astronaut in Armageddon.

Agreed that it's too long, but it is very much worth watching. The Russian doc was fascinating. How can the likes of WADA and IOC have any credibility whatsoever?

Regarding the IOC there is a interview with Nick Symmonds on EP 392 and 393 of marathon talk https://marathontalk.com/all-shows/ touch on that. Things like the Olympics is the biggest event in many sports but the IOC is interested in getting sports like golf added. Everyone knows that the majors in golf are where its at. The only reason golf was included was to boosting viewers and thus ad revenue. He is a guy that is not afraid of speaking his mind.

WADA come out with a bit of credibility, but the IOC none whatsoever, ignoring WADA's findings.

I still want to find out how he would have fared had the original premise of the documentary not been overtaking by events.

FTP increased up to 350w from 250w so 100w increase 40% up in one year, the guy looked quite lean at the end so the watts per kg would have be very strong

Yeah, his power was way up alright, but he seemed disappointed, or maybe had higher expectations, of his performance. The mechanical might have played into that somewhat.
