Hi All, I'm a 42 year old guy and after a lot of denial had accepted that I'm gay. I don't have any gay friends and at a bit of a loss how to proceed from here. Any advice?

Hey OP. Fair play to you. :)

Finding gay friends can be difficult but it's easier if you join an LGBT club around an interest you already have- there's a rake of them out there for various sports, activities, there's choirs, book clubs, general meetup groups...

I made lots of friends through a group on Meetup.com, so have a look and see if there's anything of interest where you're from- there's a fair few more options in Dublin and the bigger cities so that will have an impact on what you can try.
