    Hi

    1. Does anyone have a stat code for the R230 Mercedes SL55 AMG? It doesn't appear on the Revenue website anymore and

    2. Do you know if it will work once Rev. have removed it from the VRT website?

    Cheers

    G

If it's not on the Revenue site then either it's incorrectly listed there or nobody has imported a similar model recently. They will probably send an enquiry off to Revenue for a VRT figure which can take upto 10 days so bring a jar of lube with you.

No, the code doesn't work once the car is removed. I have it for the E92 M3 which was removed recently and it doesn't come up

Yeah. The code used to be there as I checked it before. Bugger. No I have to go and work it out manually and hope my figure is close to theirs. I can't see a good reason for removing vehicles!!! What have they got to hide 😉🀔

I'd say it's more to do with database housekeeping than a conspiracy to hide it. Not too many SL55 AMGs being imported to be fair.

Probably but data takes up a small amount of space. It's not really a good reason to remove it. If people want to import something like a Porsche too, it's a real lottery as you can't get a quote before you buy. A lot of buyers prefer UK cars because the level of care/servicing there is by enlarge better than here. Especially with premium brands. Plus there's a wider selection. So it's a real bummer that some pre purchase info isn't available

Ok, I'm going to put my IT nerd hat on here. It's a bit more complected than just data taking up a bit of space. Database tables, indexes, log files, etc need to be cleaned up or pruned from time to time to avoid them falling over or becoming corrupt. Your also talking about the Public Service here so efficiency is hardly going to be top notch or state of the art so I'd doubt this data is stored in the cloud where you can just request more when you run out.
