Ford ranger or l200

Considering one of the above. Have a budget of upto 7k. Should get a relatively clean machine.
Ford ranger is the first preference, have they improved the steering lock in the newer l200?
Know of a few rangers locally and they're exceptionally reliable.
Any issues with either I should be aware of?
Will I have any hassle taxing it as a commercial in Galway for farm purposes?
    Thanks, excuse all the questions.

Just taxed my navara for the first time, no hassle at all. I posted my details in to shannon, you must have a completed declaration signed by the guards and insurance cert stating business use, i'm not vat registered, just put down my pps number and nature of commercial use

Think I'm going to go for an ordinary suv type again. Either the cruiser or pajero as I carry my tools in it too.
The extra security and comfort be better all round.
Having driven a few pickups the last few days, they're still quite bouncy tbh.

It got a bit long in the tooth and I tried to kill my land cruiser and couldn't

D4d or pre? What year. I always liked the cruiser and pajero. Different league imo.

Had two 3.2 pajeros myself. 03 manual and an 05 auto. Didn't find either too bad on diesel tbh, the auto box was a little heavier but that's understandable.
I'm off next week and going to go look at a few.
Ideally I'd prefer an automatic, I think they're far superior and trouble free but automatics are few and far between in the cruiser.
Might have to increase my budget a bit.
