We have no one, basically, to service a watch here in Ireland but apparently we make watches!

Manufacturers do not need to have their own watch servicers or authorised servicers.
And for a kickstarter start up I definitely would not expect it. Especially as servicing will not be needed for another 5 years or so.

As long as they can honour the warranty and for watches with cheaper movements it is easier for them to just swap the movement out I would think.

Huh? Just pointing out we have someone making watches here now; it's an aside that we still have no one servicing them.

Ah right, I interpreted it that you were complaining that this company were making watches in Ireland but not providing authorised servicers for their watches.

And if you can afford one of those you certainly don't worry about servicing costs :P

I wonder are they actually making the watches in Ireland?

Just looked through their blog, made in China. So, from a cynic's point of view, a rebadged, embiggened, seagull... quite like the Rodina Bauhaus.

Do think 44mm is way too big for that style but they met their kickstarter goal so plenty do seem to like it. The silver sunray dial is quite nice mind.
