Best method to attach skirting board

Hi folks, Whats seen as the best method to attach these to both walls and plaster board? Adhesive or panel pins ? Thanks Rob

If the walls are straight and it's MDF skirting use adhesive, with timber I find it best to use a finishing nail gun if there is timber behind the slabs , otherwise a combination of adhesive and screws with plasterboard fixings or rawlplugs on concrete walls
