    Hey,

I am hoping for some guidance, if permitted??

Have listed my car on DD for past 3 weeks or so, not a single enquiry. Have sold on DD in the past no problem.

Anything amiss from the ad? Any ideas be gratefully received!? Thanks. Paddy.

    The price?!

It's expensive for what it is.

I'd also get rid of that last line about reducing it from 4200 to 3700. Buyers don't care about what price you previously had it at and it sounds like a cheesy Harvey Norman/Curry's sales advert where it never actually cost the stated pre sale price.

Id get rid if that filthy drivers side mat and polish the car on the outside it looks very dull. It is an estate afterall and will be limited to a select few who drive them..

The ad itself isn't bad. The photos are ok and the car is nice and clean, the text it well written.

The 1.8 petrol isn't desirable though when the same model year came with a smaller petrol and 2x diesels.

I could be wrong but my gut instinct is it's a €1750 car that i'd advertise at €1950 to let someone haggle you a bit. That and I'd remove the bit about the damaged mirror, i'd let someone spot that after they arrive.

Yeah the mat is manky. Take that photo out or retake it. Very hard to sell ANYTHING pre 08 now especially a 1.8 estate. It's not a mass market car. Single young person, not a hope. Probably a family that would buy that and, without being sexist, a huge amount of women worry about being in older cars because of the potential for breakdown and being stranded in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't bother me but for many it does and I respect that.
Every car will generate some interest at a certain price. Eventually by someone that thinks they can flip it quickly. NCT is there, few months tax, looks decent. No enquiries in 3 weeks means the price is definitely wrong. Someone will spot a bargain at a certain price and buy it. Check out what else you can get for your price and decide yourself if it's overpriced or not.

If its just the regular 1.8 opposed to the 1.8 flexi fuel model then maybe state that as it is supposed to be slightly better on juice ?

Paint work is in need of a deep polish, steering wheel looks dusty in middle. It's not bad though. All down to the price , other v50's on there are younger and for less.
2600 would be a fair price, but even that is difficult to get.
Hold on to it, sell this time next year for 1400

    That's the competition.

It's an€1759 to €2000 car really. Mileage would say you'd probably get the higher end of that.
