Quick question about MOTs in the UK

I have a Car Check app on my phone and I just ran a check on a car, and it appears to have a lot of MOT history on it.

Does it work differently in the UK?

Example, this car has MOT records for:

    Passed on 3 Feb 2017 (exp 9 Feb 2018)
    Passed on 22 June 2017 (exp 21 June 2018)
    Passed on 26 June 2017 ?(exp 25 June 2018).

Why 3 in 6 months, and 2 only 4 days apart?

You can MOT every day of the yer if you want, no nonsense of annual dates. With decent dealers, it's normal for them to have it MOT'd just before the buyer picks it up. That might explain Feb & June but not two June ones. It'spossible that they just screwed up - does the dealer also operate an MOT centre, many of them do.

I guess having the car MOTd often and it keeps passing should be reassuring, I was just confused as to why so often when there is no fails.
