Folks be careful when buying from the above. If you buy something that doesn't fit or is wrong size etc they will not refund postage and you have to pay the cost of return delivery. Customer service will only scoff at you. Not really worth the few quid cheaper they may be

Was the part being the wrong size yout fault or theirs? If it was yours they're not even obliged to refund/replace at all.

If it was your (fault) they're not even obliged to refund/replace at all.

Distance selling regulations do allow for change-of-mind returns up to 14 days after delivery, with some exceptions. Although the consumer may still bear the cost of return, the seller must refund the original purchase cost including any delivery fees.

I often find MG are more expensive side for things. I've never bought from them but often use the site to get a rough idea of the price of things before I do buy. They wanted 300 for battery for my Volvo whereas my local factors wanted 80.

Why would they have to bear the cost of a return if you picked the wrong size though 🙄

    Exact same battery?

I find them cheap for a lot of things. Example, got a pair of spurious facelift transit tail lights for €30

Not sure but both were exide. They only had two batteries on offer and both were that price. Now that said I have an unreasonable dislike of MG as I am connected to a motor factors business, one very near you actually Colm, so that colours my view.

This is what's wrong with free speech on the internet. An anonymous poster hiding behind a username making very contentious accusations against a well known business.

    Take it to Consumer issues.
Starting a thread just to have a dig with unclear details doesn't paint anyone involved in a good light.
