BIZZARE "TWIN LNB"

I have a problem with satellite TV.

I have an 80cm dish connected to a receiver using a twin LNB to get the German channels. It has been working fine for number of years until recently it stopped displaying the message “No Signal”
    1. To trouble shoot I checked all connections – still not working
    2. I realigned the dish – still not working
    3. I bought a new twin LNB – still not working
    4. I got 2nd receiver and 2nd TV and connected it to spare port on the new LNB – both TVs working (thought I had the problem solved)
    5. When I disconnect the 2nd TV & receiver the no signal reappears on Main TV despite it being a separate connection
    6. The main TV will only work if the cable from the other port on the LNB is connected to the second the 2nd TV – I know it sounds bizzare but I have tried everything to find the reason.
So much so that right now the main TV is working – but only because I have a cable from the second LNB port touching the 2nd TV (and I mean just touching - one of the components at the back) – also this 2nd TV is unplugged –
    I AM GOING CRAZY
    IS THE PLACE HAUNTED?
    ANY HELP/ADVICE APPRECIATED

Just back from following your advice,
trimmed back all connections and still the same problem.

Both TVs are working - but I just want the main TV to work on its own.
When I disconnect the temporary set up the main TV will not work. The Main TV will only work if the cable I connected to the second LNB port is touching off the temporary TV.

THIS IS WRECKING MY HEAD____________LOSING IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd TV is plugged out but, what about the 2nd satellite receiver? And is it still connected to the TV?

Maybe the LNB is not being powered without the second connector ....... a break in the 'ground' connection that is overcome by the second cable?

I'd say so, it's why I asked if the 2nd box was still plugged in & connected to the TV.

And also to the OP, I assume it's the outer part of the connector you're touching off the TV?

Yes you might be on to something - I mistaken said unplugged but should have said powered off with socked switch off

Now - 2nd TV and 2nd receiver both powered off (still plugged in)

I'm currently watching the main TV (ZDF World athletics championship)
The Second temporary set up is powered off but I have the cable from the LNB just touching (not connected properly) to the powered off receiver.
The receiver is still connected to the TV but when I disconnect them signal goes but returns when I touch it off of any port at the back of the powered off TV
Now when I unplug the powered off TV the main TV loses signal

Is it got to do with Earthing or something???

The outer conductor (braid) on the 1st cable must be broken somewhere.

I'd just swap the 2nd cable over.

That must be it. I can't swap then today as its not long enough.
    I will buy new cable.

To sugarman, johnboy1951 & Thurston? I sincerely appreciate your help

    Thank you very much

Using the spare LNB and a cheap Sat finder I sourced the problem to be , not the cable but the coaxial wall socket . An easy fix after all the head scratching...

    Thanks again for your help
