    Ahoy,

Having been out regularly with a more informal group this year I've come to see the benefits of having a group spin to drag me out of bed on a Sunday morning...and having achieved a level of cycling proficiency that should leave me only mildly embarrassed on group spins I'm thinking it's time to join a club.

Based in the South Inner City so Orwell seems like the obvious choice although I'm a cowardly Crapfat with neither inclination nor interest in racing.

Audax is pretty much where I want to go discipline wise.

Are there any alternatives I should be considering?

There is a massive non-racing membership in Orwell although the club is enormous so if you're looking for somewhere where you have a chance of knowing everyone you might want to look elsewhere.
