    If I buy a USA phone on Amazon.com can I use it in Ireland? or would there be any problems with the phone and mobile phone masts or any differences between networks?
    I will be buying the phone unlocked.

    Depends on the phone.

    Also remember that VAT will due on the total you pay.

    I think amazon look after vat etc. Surely its better buying from Europe amazon?

    Only if its under the GSP, otherwise you pay when it hits Dublin.

    What would the vat rate be.

    What happens , does the courier pay the vat is it.

    Will it always be stopped or is there a chance it might slip through.
