NCT - car not showing up on website

    Just a quick question....

I imported a car, its undergone its VRT and is now taxed and insured and I've received the Registration Certificate.

It needs an NCT but isn't showing up on the website, its been a week now, so I can't yet drive the car.

Do I have to wait for it to show up, or will they let me book it in over the phone?

Er, sorry, is that "yes" I have to wait, or "yes" I can book it in over the phone?

    Book it over the phone.

Why don't they do the NCT test on registration? Have a vrt booked, was assuming that they would do the nct too.
If I have a recent MOT do I still have to do the NCT?

If still on UK plates you would be OK once insured but once vrt is done no.

Because The NCT is a separate thing to a VRT inspection.

And the MOT is a UK test of road worthiness, it has nothing to do with the NCT over here, the same way the NCT has no bearing in the UK.
