According to MT it looks like next week - wed to fri could be dry ???

"OUTLOOK ... Warmer by mid-week, sunny intervals each day Wednesday to Friday, highs 21 to 25 C, and staying warm to about Saturday when a weak front will bring some scattered showers"

    Fingers crossed!

Today was promised dry until yday
And there are no mentions of thundery downpours in any forecast
I got caught in one half an hour ago
And can see another "train" of them right on course for me again
Been like that for 2 weeks
Garden is waterlogged and even one of those showers undoes any bit of drying

Purely because I thought it would be decent today was the worst day so far for me
Since 3pm we had " showers" that barely moved topped off by a massive downpour just there

I'm sure we will get another nice few overnight
    Dreadful

While at work this morning there was an absolute deluge that flooded the roads in no time. When I checked my weather station when I got back home, no rain at all was recorded, and that was only just over a mile away! Really shows just how localised these showers were today. KM79, who is basically 'just down the road' from me just got unlucky (well, I'd call him lucky ;) with the positioning of the showers today. There certainly was a hell of a lot of dark looking clouds in that direction from here for much of the day.

    New Moon

I was indeed very unlucky :(
What does blue correspond to ? I'm guessing 15-20mm
Athenry is just 13k west and it got pretty much nothing

I'm back to work Tuesday after 4 weeks off and about 4 sunny days in that. You can be sure it will be sunny next week!

I have a fence to paint about 16 panels. I did 3 last week but everyday seems to drop some rain.

Surely we'll get some dry days this week? Tomorrow was meant to be completely dry but now there's showers and also for Tuesday.

You can cut the lawn most days, the grass dries very quickly even after a passing shower.

    The area is marshy
Needed the ground to harden up
That and the grass was longer than usual and I didn't want to bag it all!

That phrase ' scattered showers ' is responsible for a lot of worry / anxiety /marriage breakdowns in this country , we're all suffering from ' shower anxiety ' -
e.g -1." partner a ;i told you to put the clothes out to dry
partner b ; but the forecast said 'scattered showers',

    2. will I or won't I bring a coat and umbrella with me to protect against the scatters showers , it'd be a disaster if i get wet
    3. will I invite the friends round for the barbecue , it'ill be ****e if there's showers , no one wants a soggy burger ?

    etc. etc .
The term needs to be banned .

    Raining now

I'm not actually sure we got a full dry day as I think there were a few showers weds morning before I got up ..........
