Hi all, just wondering if I'm given a new position in a manufacturing factory I work in on a Monday and find out the Friday that I'm getting put back to my old job can I refuse to go back?

Last 2 people that got my new position also got a pay increase I didn't?

    Where do I stand?

    Tia

    Hi Tia,

Once they're not reducing your pay or any guaranteed benefits then they can pretty much place you back in your old job. In other words, once you're in no less favourable conditions then I don't believe there is a lot you can do.

Unless, if you signed a contract amendment or new contract to get a new title, they shouldn't be able to change this title back unless you agree to it.

    Hope that helps.
