hi folks,my 2003 corsa is due in for a nct re test soon, one of the points it failed on was the abs light would not come on,so after stripping and replacing small bulb, all seemed grand, until i noticed the mileage reading was missing a few digits, the reading before was 104101,now it looks like 114111,some bits of the numbers are missing, will this matter at the retest?if it dont matter,im not really bothered about fixing it,thanks all,

There's nothing I can see in the test that calls out the need for the mileage to work:

    https://www.ncts.ie/media/1004/nct-manual-july-2014.pdf

Page 28 talks about the speedometer needing to work (i.e. Tell the speed) & that it needs to be possible to illuminate it.

You might run in to trouble later on when trying to sell the car if the tester notes down a mileage that it lower than a previous NCT value. Being a 2003 Corsa I don't think that is going to matter in reality, I doubt the next owner will run a history check for such an inexpensive car.

I have the same problem with a focus van, 2007 only 53k km but the mileage display only works the odd time, usually OK in the summer when it dries out but hasn't work for the last few cvrt which are done in March and has always passed!
