Disability and companion travel

Just received confirmation of Disability allowance, and today received my new card for free travel. It is free travel +S, which is spouse or co-habitant.

Thing is my husband never goes anywhere with me, and it would be much better for my daughter to accompany me. BUT I am able to travel alone sometimes, so how difficult would it be to have a companion added instead of spouse?

Do I have to be completely unable for lone travel?

Would the issuing party be able to help you with this?
I suppose the purpose of the card is to ensure you have travel and someone to support you alongside.
Sometimes this may not be your spouse, and may be another carer, or individual to provide assistance.
If you present an argument in this way they may give you an alternative card.
Again, it's probably worth contacting those who issued the card to determine if it's possible.
