Hi guys, I'm wondering what are good strategies for advancing as quickly as possible in the IT industry. I'm moving into my first IT job soon, working for a multinational and I'm keen to not make the mistakes I did in my previous career, in order to significantly increase my earnings over the next 10 years.

IT industry means nothing. Are you talking about software development? Being good at it helps.
