VRT question

    Hi there,

Have VRT inspection tomorrow, and have a few questions.

1: For the proof of PPS, I understand they require official documentation. Does it matter if it's an old P60 or does the 6 month limit apply? Also is a payslip sufficient or do docs have to be from revenue?

2: On section 3 of the VRTVPD2 form, I'm confused about section 3. It says "person/business who purchased the vehicle outside the state if not the proposed registered owner of the vehicle". What does this mean? Do I put in my own details?? I purchased the car from a dealer in NI who imported it from the UK. Will be registering it in my own name obviously.

3: The Declaration for Registration of new or used vehicles form. It asks for birth cert number, is this really necessary? I am unsure about Section B. It asks country of origin and country where consigned. I bought the car in NI but it was imported by the dealer from the UK. What do I fill out here? Honestly, I a, confused by pretty much all of the questions in Section B.

    Help much much appreciated!!!

    1. P60 will do but if you have recent payslip which has PPS number on it bring it too.

    2. Leave it blank. You bought the car. If you bought the car from someone here in Ireland then you'd fill their name in that section.

    3. I didn't bother with birth cert number and it didn't cause any issues.

Country of origin in is Uk. Country where consigned is also UK.

Thanks a mil. I actually only have a recent payslip. Don't have a P60 but I'll try get one from work tomorrow. Do you think they would refuse payslip alone?

Car is from Scotland and I bought in NI. So I would put in Scotland the for country of origin/country whence consigned?
