    Hi,
Is it possible to get Jobseekers allowance or any type of social walfare benefits if I'm doing a leaving cert repeat course in Cork College of Commerce???,
I understand that you can't if you are attending c.i.t or UCC on a third level course but what about Commerce college?

For jsa, job seekers allowance you must be available and are meant to be actively looking for work. If you are in full time education you can't be available for work so wouldn't be eligible.

Would you be interested in repeating in the evenings with the ETB ? That would free you up during the day for working. If you are stuck for money, it may be your only option. What are you repeating for ? Higher points? Or to pass a particular subject? Have you considered doing a level 5 course in a plc to get you into an IT or UNi the following year? You might be eligible for the grant then.
