Just wondering if anybody has any issues with this box,I've bought a couple in the last few months, one from satsklep.pl and the other from satworld.ie and they both appear to have bricked!?

    Wasn't aware of any issues.
Have you revived them with a null modem cable?
Perhaps a change of firmware might help.

I too have had trouble with the terrestrial reception. What should I do with the null cable please?

The null modem cable allows the reflashing of a box which has become bricked / unresponsive. It's not needed if the box is responsive as you can upgrade the firmware using a USB.

As regards your problem, you can try downloading the latest firmware for your box from the ferguson site and see if it helps. I have come across a similar problem recently with an Ariva 252 where it wasn't able to "see" channels on a terrestrial scan and an upgrade of the firmware seems to have sorted it.
