BBC on grundig box missing

    Hi,

I have searched for issues relating to getting BBC channels on my astra dish with an (old) grundig box, but didn't see anything I could use.

I can still get ITV channels on the setup via a "magic eye" but cannot get BBC.

Is this an issue with the magic eye or something else? I used to get them all on the same channel on the TV, I can still get the usual rte etc., stuff via the same eye, but not BBC from the dish.

Any advice/info/pointers/links gratefully received, with apologies if this has beeen answered already.

    Thanks, Barry

bbc should be on number 141 but old sky grundig boxes are ancient and are prone to tuner problems..

I just found BBCNI on 951, but didn't find CBeebies for ex, on 614, "no satellite signal" which is not what my grandchildren wanted....!!

I vaguely remember something about very old Grundig boxes not supporting the 23000 s/r used by BBC TPs. Perhaps someone else could confirm this.

The transponders with 23000 SR are all DVB-S2, which a Grundig couldn't pick up anyway. Possibly a dish alignment issue or tuner fault in the OP's case. Those boxes date back to 2000 so wouldn't be much good now.
