    Is there a photographic equivalent of cycling adverts in cycling ?
    I have some Gitzo tripods and ball heads to sell.

    i think the cycling forum may be unique in being allowed a classifieds section.

    i suspect the cycling forum generates far more ad traffic, i guess it allowed the posters there to sell gear to each other, which is a bit less fraught than dealing with non-posters.

    PC Building and Upgrading has a thread where you can post links to your items to sell, but no dealings via the thread or via pm. deal must be done on adverts. Maybe something like that could work here?

    That's what we do on the golf forum, dedicated "for sale / swap / loan" thread which , must have links to adds on adverts.
